ESL— Meets once per week on Thursday from 6:00-7:30 PM


First day of Class: June 3, 2010


Location: 1920 G Street, NW, Washington DC. 



Prerequisites


Students should be able to speak, understand, read, and write some English. An earlier class in English would be helpful but is not required.


Course goals


At the end of this class, students will be able to understand the past, future, present, and conditional tense in English. They will also understand key words in reading and be able to write long responses. They will also be able to understand and participate in most English conversations. They will read comics and short writings, listen to songs, write their own short pieces, and talk with other students in the class. Most of all, students should enjoy learning English!


Student expectations


Students need to come to every class, do the assigned reading, and turn in any homework assignments. They need to participate in class discussions and activities as well.
